I’m Sami Parker (aka Sami Addams, aka Sana Wilson).
I’m a mixed race, queer, trans-masc enby who is weird, old, disabled, ND, and frequently grumpy. I love cats, journals, young adults, old geeks, and my wife of several decades. I also like really obscure humor, and am prone to rant and ramble without notice. Currently I am fighting advanced breast cancer, and have several other related disabilities. I have practiced an initiatory traditional mystery religion for around 40 years, and may post some of my thoughts in that direction occasionally with everything else here.
Professionally I am a retired social worker and current librarian for a private, nonprofit, educational support program. My previous practice included trans and nonbinary support, pre-marriage classes, group facilitation, university student support, case work within an educational setting, and program administration. I have Masters-level education in human sexuality in many of it’s common and uncommon forms, and I like to talk about sexuality and gender from a number of viewpoints.
This site is primarily about books. I like book challenges, and I track them here, and I post reviews and challenge-related information most often. Some of the book information will also be from books I’m considering (or have decided to) purchase for our library, and books I am professionally reviewing. I have a lot of lists and series notes that I will be gradually digitizing here as well. Other things that will show up on a regular, irregular basis are bits about Magic the Gathering (especially on the Arena platform), about movies and TV series, humor, helpful hints, tarot, personal development, and life as I’ve come to know it.
I hope you enjoy your visit, and I hope you come back again. If you have any commentary about the site, or about anything you read here, you can leave me a note here. (Eventually we’ll get the comments system working here. I think…)
